As told by founder John Hider:
I’ve always been drawn to building. From projects with my father to remodeling my own home, creating spaces has been part of my life. That passion carried into raising my six sons—three of whom now contribute their skills to Johns Island Remodeling, from hands‑on craftsmanship to CAD design and permitting.
After retiring from General Motors, I settled on Seabrook Island and, naturally, began remodeling again. Friends soon asked for help with their homes, and one project led to another. What started as family tradition grew into Johns Island Remodeling, LLC—a company built on experience, trust, and a commitment to improving homes across the Charleston Sea Islands.
