Artist Statement
I paint to unlock the latticework of longing.

My practice began in the rain-soaked corners of Seattle, where I first mistook rust for pigment and silence for form. After earning my MFA from the University of Washington (with a semester abroad in Ljubljana studying “post-structural brushwork”), I apprenticed under the reclusive Slovenian painter Mirok Zajček, who taught me that “a cage is only visible to birds who dream in oil.”
