Our Coffee

Meet the Gómez family, fourth-generation coffee growers nestled in the hills of Huila, Colombia. Their farm, Finca La Esperanza, has been cultivating Arabica beans for over 70 years—always by hand, always with heart.

In the early 2000s, when cartel pressures swept through the region, the Gómez family made a bold choice: they refused to convert their land to coca, despite threats and financial strain. Instead, they doubled down on coffee—partnering with a local cooperative that offered protection, fair pricing, and a direct export path to small roasters abroad.

Their resilience paid off. Today, Bread N Butta proudly serves their single-origin roast: smooth, chocolatey, with a hint of citrus. It’s more than a cup—it’s a quiet act of defiance, brewed daily. And we proudly serve it as La Familia Blend.
